It is the policy of this organization to provide opportunities to Christian men and women to serve the Lord in practical ways. Projects are selected with great care by a committee according to established criterion. Approved Projects are deemed to be worthy of the time, effort and expenses incurred. I understand that if I am accepted as a volunteer, any false statements, omissions, or other misrepresentations made by me on this application may result in my immediate dismissal.
I understand that Canada Revenue Agency rules stipulate that team fees are a non-refundable donation to the team project and therefore cannot be refunded if a person withdraws from a team for any reason.
I understand that volunteers applying for travel to foreign countries to participate on work teams are advised that caution is required due to uncertain political, socio-economic and environmental conditions that may be present which could create an element of danger for team members. The Canadian government has travel risk assessments for all countries(www.voyage.gc.ca/index-eng.asp) and I understand and accept the potential risks in project country I have applied to serve in.
If accepted, I will respect the decisions and authority of team leaders and of TeamWorkers and MSC Canada. I will not hold TeamWorkers or MSC Canada or any member of their organizations responsible for any accident which may occur or any ill effects which may arise as a result of my involvement in this short term missions effort with the organization.
